We’re working hard to integrate performances and artists into the Purdue University and Ivy Tech Lafayette classrooms through our Curricular Connections program. Several artists will work with students in a wide array of sessions—and we offer our thanks to faculty who are opening their doors to these opportunities.
As part of our commitment to the educational goals of Purdue University, Convocations offers subsidized performance tickets to faculty members and graduate teaching assistants who incorporate a Convocations performance in a course. Instructors who assign a related class exercise or a voluntary opportunity to attend a show may request $10 ticket vouchers for all members of the class, including themselves. We hope that these out-of-the-classroom experiences can deepen students’ investment in a topic and inspire an intellectual curiosity that will last throughout their lives.
Purdue faculty and graduate instructors should use the voucher request form to request vouchers for registered students and course instructors. Vouchers can be redeemed for $10 tickets at campus box offices in Elliott Hall or Stewart Center. Each voucher is valid for one ticket, and students are given the best available seat at that time. (Students are given zone B seats for shows in Elliott Hall of Music.) Additional tickets can be purchased at full price. Subsidized tickets are only available for regular season Convocations performances as listed on the back of this pamphlet and cannot be used for special events or Student Concert Committee shows.
