Why You Should Become a Friend of Convocations

Each year, Purdue Convocations must raise $500,000 to subsidize performances and provide funding for its educational programming. It is necessary to seek funding from individuals, corporations and foundations to address the ever-increasing costs of bringing world-class talent to Greater Lafayette and the growing need to provide arts education for preschool through grade 12 students in the wake of decreased school resources. Donors join the Friends of Convocations.

Financial gifts can be given in general support of Purdue Convocations programming or to specific programs within Convocations. Those donating $50 or more earn the privilege of purchasing tickets before they’re available to the general public and receive priority seating. Seating is determined using the priority point system. Friends also receive additional privileges based on their giving levels.
