MS, President and CEO of Left Field Consulting, a business that
provides training in creativity and organizational development
as well as speech writing services. She worked in higher education
at The Ohio State University for more than 30 years as an administrator,
advisor, teacher, programmer, and editor. For 11 years, she served
as Coordinator for Greek Affairs, working with 63 fraternities
and sororities. For 15 years, she was Director of Special Projects
and Special Assistant to 3 university presidents before retiring
from OSU in 1999.
Twice an Ohio State graduate, Tootle has a bachelor's degree
in business administration and a master's degree in sociology.
For five years, she worked at the Disaster Research Center, a
sociological research agency focusing on organized responses to
natural catastrophes.
Tootle is a past national committee chair of the American College
Personnel Association and past national president of the Association
of Fraternity Advisors. She has received several national awards
for her service to Greek organizations.
A frequent workshop leader and speaker, Tootle has addressed
hundreds of audiences of educators, students, alumni, and business
persons in regional and national conventions across the country.
She has keynoted conferences from Monterey (CA) to Portland (ME).
In 1993-1994, she was a Balfour Distinguished Lecturer and a 1994-1995
National Interfraternity Foundation Legacy Lecturer.
Her areas of professional interest include creativity, contemporary
social issues, ethics, and values. Personal interests include
major league baseball, anything involving Kevin Costner, needlework
design, and avoiding ironing. Tootle has been on the CMI faculty
since 1989.
