The IT Strategic Governance Committee (SGC) was formed as a part of the Purdue University Campus Information Technology Plan (CITP). The SGC approves the campus IT vision and guiding principles. It also approves and prioritize key university IT initiatives, and ensures that campus IT strategy is aligned with the University strategic plan.
The SGC provides oversight of the IT Operational Oversight Committee (OOC) and works on special IT initiatives delegated to it by the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance, Treasurer; and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.
There are 12 members of the SGC. Eight members are senior Purdue officials who are appointed by the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance, Treasurer; and the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. The University Senate and Purdue Student Government each appoint one member. The Administrative and Professional Advisory Committee (APSAC) and the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC) each appoint one member. The chairperson of the SGC is the Chief Information Officer. The whole SGC meets at least twice a year.
