The IT Operational Oversight Committee (OOC) was formed as a part of the Purdue University Campus Information Technology Plan (CITP). The OOC focuses on the coordination and collaboration of IT resources across campus. It recommends IT priorities, oversees and endorses Common Good IT Services, and endorses IT budget requests. The OOC may also work on special IT initiatives delegated to it by the IT Strategic Governance Committee (SGC).
OOC membership is a cross-representative team of campus IT leaders. There are no more than 30 OOC members. The chairperson of the OOC is the Chief Information Officer. OOC members typically work on small, ad-hoc and strategic committees to address University IT resource issues. The reports of these small working committees are shared with all OOC and SGC members for review. The whole OOC meets at least four times a year; small working committees meet more frequently.
