Affiliate Faculty

Dr. Vaziri received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 2016. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics in the College of Business at James Madison University. His research interests include data analytics, ranking algorithms, and decision making. Bobby is collaborating with CGUS in supporting the data analyses effort for the entrepreneurship project.

Dr. Chen earned her PhD from the Department of Consumer Science, Purdue University in December 2008. Jie has worked at the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, Fanshawe College, Ontario and Department of Marketing and International Business at University of Toledo. Aside from Jie’s teaching experience in marketing related subjects, her research efforts have been focusing on marketing and consumer behavior, specifically in the areas of human characteristics and behaviors in the service sector. Dr. Chen has been working with CGUS for years and her expertise in the application of consumer behavior theories in understanding patient information processing and decision making has been of particular value to the Center’s ventures in healthcare.
