School of Interdisciplinary Studies

The School of Interdisciplinary Studies offers minors, majors, and graduate programs in fields of study that are not found in a single academic discipline.  Students in SIS take courses from more than one department or program. Experiential learning courses are taught in seven programs – African American Studies, American Studies, Film and Video Studies,  Global Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, Linguistics, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

The school houses  fifteen interdisciplinary programs and administers 10 majors and 15 minors.
