Book Club
Book Club was created to provide an opportunity for women at Purdue to explore issues relevant to them as featured in the books recommended by our network. The selections reflect the plurality and rich diversity of women’s experiences as crafted by exceptional women writers (featured in the spring, summer, and fall semesters); thus, issues of identity, gender constructs, and everyday life challenges are ever present.
We invite graduate women students, staff, and faculty members to become a community of readers by engaging in informal, yet critical, discussions about these unique books—fiction and creative nonfiction. Meetings are once a month during lunchtime, and each session will have a discussion facilitator. Events
are free of charge, a light lunch will be provided, and registered participants may attend as many/few sessions as they like. Address questions to ButlerCenter@purdue.edu.
