Butler Center Distinguished Lecture Call for Nominations Criteria

Nomination Application

The Office of the Provost in partnership with the Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence is pleased to announce the inaugural Susan Bulkeley Butler Distinguished Lecturer award to recognize a senior woman faculty who has made significant contributions to their respective academic communities. This award is the only distinguished research award that cuts across the entire Purdue campus.

Eligibility

This prestigious research award is open to women faculty across Purdue. To be eligible for this award, nominees must be a tenured faculty member who has made significant contributions to their discipline. Nominees may come from any department, school, or college within the university.

Required Documents for Nomination

  1. A letter of nomination from the nominee’s department not exceeding two pages.
  2. A complete curriculum vitae.
  3. Two letters of support from external faculty.

Award Criteria

  • Quality and impact of research, as demonstrated by publications, awards, and grants.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to sharing scholarly contributions.
