Bridging practice and research on women’s leadership topics and the advancement of women in organizations.

The Butler Center Research Group supports scholarship on the subjects of leadership development; inclusion related to gender and diversity; and organizational change. Research Director Ellen Ernst Kossek is an expert in the field of work-life change management, including psychological, health, and productivity effects of work-life issues, and sustaining positive workplaces that support the advancement of women. Current research includes evaluating and implementing leadership and work-life change management initiatives to improve how people manage technology and work-life boundaries, and leader and organizational cultural support of sustainable careers and occupational resilience.
