Mileage Chart

Check the mileage chart below for mileage to business locations. If the destination is not listed, use Mapquest. Rand McNally, or other online tool to find the route and mileage following the steps below.

• The shortest, most traveled route should be used.

• It may be appropriate to calculate mileage on an address basis rather than a city-to-city basis.

• An example might be travel to multiple off-campus sites to supervise student teachers. Travel may be from school to school within the same city. In this case, address-to-address would be appropriate for calculating mileage.

• A printout should be attached to the Form 25 from the online mapping vendor (such as, MapQuest, MapsOnUs, or Rand McNally) used to determine mileage and directions. (Only the page that shows the mileage is necessary)

• When visiting multiple destinations within an area, the traveler should keep a log showing dates, addresses and mileage traveled. The mileage may be determined by giving the beginning and ending odometer readings. This information should be on or attached to the Form 25 or DIV (if applicable).

• It is appropriate to use mileage from official work station or home (whichever is closest) as the beginning point of travel.
