| Research Agreement | A contract that governs the scope, time frame, cost, and deliverables of a research related project between a Sponsor and Purdue. |
| Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement ("NDA") | A contract that governs the time frame in which certain information disclosed between two parties be restricted, so as not to be shared with any third party. |
| Material Transfer Agreement - Purdue as a Recipient ("MTA") | A contract that governs the transportation of materials from another party to Purdue where Purdue intends to use the material for research purposes. |
| Material Transfer Agreement - Purdue as a Provider ("MTA") | A contract that governs the transportation of materials from Purdue to another party where the recipient intends to use the material for their own research purposes. |
| Research Services (Testing) | A contract that governs the scope (very narrow scope), time frame (short time frame), cost, and deliverables for testing, modeling, etc. in technical detail a product, product component, method, or idea of a company. |

| MTA Info Sheet - Purdue as Recipient | Needed if sending a MTA to Sponsored Programs where Purdue is receiving the materials from another entity. |
| MTA Info Sheet - Purdue as Provider | Needed when Purdue is providing materials to another entity outside the University. |
| Misc. Info Sheet | This applies to non-standard agreements that are sent through Sponsored Programs. Generally, there is no money tied to these agreements. |
