Security

Is ADP secure?

Yes. ADP, Inc. is a trusted and data security-focused provider of HR, payroll, talent, time, tax, and benefits administration, serving hundreds of thousands of organizations over ADP’s 65 year history.

For information regarding data security and the specific safeguards employed by ADP, please see ADP's Data Security and Privacy at ADP webpage.

Has Purdue’s data security group reviewed ADP’s data protection standards?

Yes. Purdue University's internal online security group has reviewed and approved the utilization of the ADP system from a data security standpoint.

Why am I being asked for my Social Security Number and Purdue ID number?

In order to safeguard and verify your identity, both pieces of information are necessary. Requiring both pieces of information reduces the possibility of someone other than yourself opting in to this program and intercepting your W-2 form.

What is the deadline for registering to receive my W-2 paperlessly?

Employees must register on or by December 31st in order for their selections to be applicable for the current tax year.

How can I access my ADP account after registering?

Employees can access ADP directly at www.w2.adp.com.

What if I forget my ADP password or username?

If you forget you ADP password or username, use the "Forgot User ID?" or "Forgot Password?" links on the ADP webpage for assistance. Contact tax@purdue.edu for additional assistance if attempts to utilize the "Forgot User ID" and/or "Forgot Password" tools are not successful.

Note: If log in name is lost, try your first intial and last name followed by @purdueunv. Example: John Smith's username would be JSmith@purdueunv. This piece of information will allow you to use the Forgot Password option for an opportunity to reset your password.

My account is locked. What do I do?

For security purposes, accounts lock after multiple attempts using incorrect information. Account locks are typically in place for 24 hours.

To obtain corrected login information, refer to the answer to the question above, "What if I forget my ADP username or password?" This information can be utilized as soon as the lock is released, or if a different browser is utilized.
