Moving Allowance

• Policy on Moving Allowances for Faculty and Administrative/Professional Staff  

A moving allowance is a lump-sum, taxable payment to an employee. 

If the employee's start date is less than 30 days away (regardless of whether or not the person has been set up in payroll):
*ADPAY form
*Attach approved offer letter

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Please remember a moving allowance is not allowed to be paid on an off-cycle.  If a more immediate payment is needed than regular payroll processing would provide, you can process the allowance on a DIV.  However, please only do this when absolutely necessary.
