About the Yes/No Questions
The Yes/No questions are part of a Proposal Development record that is primarily utilized for the population of Grants.gov forms for S2S utilization. However, due to system functionality, it is necessary to answer ALL YNQs for every proposal development record created. If all questions are not completed, it is impossible to route the proposal for approvals or create an Institute Proposal record. There are also three Purdue specific YNQs that must be completed for every record as well.
Depending on the answer to a particular question, additional explanation may also be required. In these cases, please provide all supporting information in the "Explanation" box located at the bottom of the YNQ window. It is not necessary to answer all questions in one sitting. You may answer only a portion of the questions and save the record but it is still necessary to come back and complete the remaining questions before routing the proposal for approvals.
Answering the Yes/No Questions
The Yes/No questions are accessed in the YNQ window.
1. Go to Edit > Yes/No Questions or click the icon.
2. Answer each question by clicking the "Yes" or "No" radio button listed in each section.
3. The system may require that a justification is entered. If so, enter the justification in the text box that appears below the answered question.
4. Once the questions have been answered and explanations given, click "Save" at the bottom of the YNQ window.
