2. Add a new Direct Cost line. For instructions click HERE.
3. Select the line Type: Subcontracts with F&A <= $25k

5. Enter the appropriate amount in the "Funds Requested ($)" field.
6. Click "Save"
7. Repeat steps 1-6 for all additional budgeted subcontracts.
Add a Subcontract w/ Total Cost > $25k
Subcontracts with a cost over $25k need an additional line to account for the remaining budgeted cost that should not have Purdue F&A applied
1. Click on the "Other Direct Costs" link in the left navigation pane.
2. Add a new Direct Cost line. For instructions click HERE.
3. Select the line Type: Subcontracts without F&A
4. Enter "Description". Free text field for internal reference only.
5. Enter the first $25,000 in the "Funds Requested ($)" field
6. Click "Save"
7. Add a second Direct Cost line
8. Select the line Type: Subcontracts without F&A
9. Enter the remaining budgeted cost for that period in the "Funds Requested ($)" field.
10. Click "Save"
11. Repeat steps 1-10 for all additional budgeted subcontracts.
Edit Out-Periods if Necessary
After Period 1 has been entered and all periods have been generated, it is usually necessary to adjust the budgeted out-periods. Since future periods utilize all budgeted lines in Period 1, those lines will need to be revised or removed so that Purdue F&A is accurately charged.
