Every employee at Purdue is listed in Coeus with their primary department. Once a person has been named on a proposal, that individual is also listed with this primary unit. It is sometimes necessary to add in additional units when an Investigator has a split appointment so that Credit Split distribution can be accurately completed.
Add a Split Appointment
1. The Person Details window must first be opened
2. Click the "Add Unit" link found in the Unit Details section at the top of the page.
3. Once a new unit field has been established, click the "Search" link to the right of the new field.
4. Complete the standard Unit search and select the desired unit from the results list.
5. Click the "Save" button found at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: For Discovery Park proposals it is necessary to add in the appropriate DP Center unit number for ALL listed Investigators.
Remove a Unit
1. The Person Details window must first be opened.
2. Click the "Remove" link found to the right of the listed unit to be removed.
3. Click the "Save" button found at the bottom of the page.
