Miscellaneous PageCenterX Tips
- Adding security to your personal workstation
- Adding security to your personal workstation can be very important if you are in an area where there are people not authorized to access PageCenterX that may be able to easily view your screen. In this situation, you should use a screen saver that is invoked within a minute or two. You may also want to use a password on the screen saver to help decrease the potential for improper use of the application on your machine. Check with staff in your area regarding the practice of using password protection for your screen saver. If you need assistance setting a password protected screen saver, contact the technical support specialist in your area.

- To create a PageCenter icon on your desktop for easy access to the application:
Go to the PageCenter web page:
https://pagecenterx.itap.purdue.eduMove the mouse to any blank space on the web page
Press the right mouse button once
Select Create Shortcut - Click OK

- Setting a bookmark for PageCenterX
- If you plan to set a bookmark for PageCenterX, you must set the bookmark BEFORE you log in to the system. Otherwise, your bookmark will end with .dll instead of a functional extension.
