Travel Form 17 Revised for New Policy on Use of Vehicles - 02/18/10
Due to the new Use of Vehicles for University Business policy to go into effect March 1, Travel Form 17 has been revised. The form allows drivers to certify that they understand and meet all qualifications for operating a motor vehicle on University business.
According to the policy, all drivers who operate a vehicle on University business are required to be in compliance with the policy.
The updated Form 17 is now on the Travel Web site under the Publications tab. Travelers need not check Box 18, Driver Certification, unless their trip begins on or after March 1, 2010.
The new use of vehicles policy will be the topic for Travel’s next Brown Bag Lunch discussion scheduled for noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 in Freehafer.
Any questions regarding the vehicle policy may be submitted to Risk Management at email@example.com, and questions about the revised Form 17 should be directed to Linda Ford, travel manager, 494-1699.
A self-guided training course, BVUP 100, Vehicle Use Policy Compliance, is available on the Business Services Training and Communications Web site to facilitate University personnel’s understanding of the policy. No registration is required.
