Registration Open for Next Course in ‘Lifecycle of an Account’ Series - 08/31/10

“BLCA 300 — Non-sponsored Program Accounts,” the 10th course in the series, “Policy Training for the Lifecycle of an Account – Pre-award through Closeout,” has opened for registration.

Instructors Jennifer Craig and Kristi Mickle will present the class twice:
    — 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21
    — 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Sept. 30
Both classes will meet in Room 1142 of Lawson Computer Science Building, 305 N. University St. Participants need attend one session only.

The two-hour BLCA 300 course – appropriate for business office managers, account assistants, clerks and central office administrative and clerical personnel – will provide participants an explanation of policies and procedures associated with non-sponsored program accounts at Purdue University.

To ensure a seat in the class of their choice, participants must enroll in PREMIS with their career account and password. Once logged in, select “Business Systems” and then the “Lifecyle of an Account” link. Click the “BLCA 300” link to complete the registration process.

Attendees must have completed the prerequisite, “FIFMCO 101 — Introduction to Accounting and Financial Systems.” After enrolling in “FIFMCO 101” through PREMIS, the course will be available to participants within 24 hours when they log in to Blackboard via the “Non-academic Campus” portal. Completion of “Cost Principles for Education Institutions,” the first course in the “Lifecycle of an Account” series, is recommended. Participants who did not attend that class can review the material on the Lifecycle of an Account page of the Business Services Training website.
