Registration Open for Next Class in ‘Life Cycle of an Account’ Series - 04/27/10
“BLCA 270—Cost Sharing,” the seventh course in the series, “Life Cycle of an Account—Pre-award Through Closeout,” is open for registration.
The two-hour course covers cost sharing from proposal to close-out and the steps involved, including: award set-up, reconciliation, life of the project and meeting the cost share commitment. It is designed to inform Finance and Human Resource users of the different types of reports, the benefits of the reports and why reports should be run. The class is appropriate for staff of all levels from business offices and Comptroller and Sponsored Program Service areas. Corey Back of Agriculture and Helen Moschinger of SPS are the instructors.
BLCA 270 will be conducted twice:
-- 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 in Room 241 of Pfendler Hall of Agriculture (PFEN), 715 W. State St.
-- 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, May 26 in the same location
(Registrants need attend only one class.)
Staff may register for BLCA 270 through PREMIS after logging in with their career account and password. Once logged in, select “Business Systems” and then “Finance.” Choose “BLCA 270” to register for one of the two live sessions.
SPS recommends that staff who attend BLCA 270 first complete the prerequisite, “BLCA 170.” The 30-minute, narrated BLCA 170—Introduction to Cost Sharing program is available online on the Life Cycle of an Account page of the Business Services Training and Communications (BSTC) website.
Updated course materials will be added to the Life Cycle of an Account page prior to the training.
