Reminder: Adherence to Paperwork Deadlines
Assures Proper Processing of New Employee - 06/25/09
To assure that newly hired employees have system access during their first day of New Employee Orientation (NEO), departments must adhere to the Shared Service Center’s (SSC) process for submitting paperwork for new employees.
Departments with a new employee attending NEO must submit their new hire’s completed paperwork to the SSC by 5 p.m. two Fridays before the event.
Paperwork includes a Personnel Action Form and, unless the employee is biweekly, an unsigned HRS Form 13. The forms must be stapled to a green Business Services New Employee Orientation Checklist, available for downloading from the NEO Web site.
Submitting checklists on green paper provides a signal to SSC that the attached paperwork belongs to a new hire attending the next NEO. SSC will then enter the new employee’s information into the system, generating communication to departments and presenters participating in NEO.
The two-day orientation classes are presented twice each month. Paperwork for new employees attending the July 6-7 NEO is due by 5 p.m. Friday, June 26. Paperwork for new employees attending the July 20-21 NEO must reach the SSC by 5 p.m. Friday, July 10.
