Purdue Retirees Must Wait 30 Days before Re-employment - 06/12/12

When Purdue’s faculty and staff members retire, a 30-day separation is required before they can be re-employed by the University in any capacity. The Public Employees’ Retirement Fund (PERF) requires, through state statute, that such a break occur or the employee’s pension benefits will be stopped. However, this requirement applies to all types of positions.

If there are special needs, specific cases should be referred to Human Resources-Benefits for review.
