Process Changed for Notifying New Hires of Benefits Eligibility - 03/10/11
Due to the EBenefits online enrollment tool introduced last fall, newly hired employees are no longer receiving a packet of information about their Purdue benefits.
Instead, Staff Benefits sends new hires an email with the subject line New Hire (employee name) to notify them of their benefits eligibility. The email provides instructions for enrolling through EBenefits and a link to benefit information located on the Benefits website.
Housing & Food Services and Physical Facilities have adopted a different process to contact their new hires, since staff in those areas cannot always be reached by email.
Staff with concerns about their area’s new hires receiving the benefits email may contact Shasta White at email@example.com or 494-1681 to discuss alternative arrangements.
For more information about Purdue benefits, please call 494-2222, where staff are available 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday to Friday to answer questions. In addition, a benefits website for new hires, Get Started Benefits Enrollment for New Employees, is now available.
