Revised OnePurdue Training Coming This Fall - 10/2/08

A number of courses are in various stages of development and will be offered through the end of the year. The first one -- HRPA 151 Systems Inquiry -- will be available this month and will be repeated in December. The goal is to offer the course bi-monthly.

 

HRPA 151 is for Central Services staff, business managers and business staff with a job function that requires making personnel inquiries.

 

The four-hour course is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 24 and again Dec. 7 in the second floor training room at Freehafer Hall. Cindy Nelson of Shared Services Center will instruct attendees in how to look up employee and position data, the completion of HR forms, and how to answer questions for staff in decentralized areas. Participants also will be taught how to search for employee, position and organizational unit data using various transaction codes. They will be shown new data elements in the OnePurdue system related to employees and their positions, as well as quick tips and techniques for streamlined system navigation.

 

Enrollment for both HRPA 151 sessions will open Oct. 10. Attendees need attend only one session. Staff who have completed HRPA 150 are not required to take HRPA 151.

 

Coming in December will be a day-long class -- HRTM 221 Time Administration/Cost Distribution. It will be geared for Payroll clerks and business managers charged with time-entry responsibilities. Payroll Time Administrator Tracy Sondergerath will instruct.

 

Also in coming in December is SRM 231 Confirm Shopping Cart, a revised online class that will include new workflow techniques for Central and Desktop receivers. Another online opportunity in the planning is PSCD 100 for Accounts Receivable staff.
