Fix for Retroactive Benefit Charges Moved to Production - 09/29/09
As part of the Human Resources (HR) Stabilization Project, a fix to retroactive benefit charges that post in the HR system went into production on Monday, Sept. 21. The configuration fix will post benefits to the period they are retroactively changing by using the cost distribution (IT27 record) for that period.
Since HR go-live, benefit charges that were retroactively changing were posting to the current pay period cost distribution instead of the period the changes were effective for. This included back-dated summer salary (TIAA benefit), salary increases posted late (retirement benefit), back-dated new hires and rehires (medical, life and retirement benefits).
For more information about the cost distribution change, please contact Stacy Umlauf or Kim Hoebel in Accounting or Becky Gutwein in Staff Benefits.
