Bursars Office Releases 2009-10 Federal Work-Study
Funding Guidelines for West Lafayette Campus - 08/18/09
The first day students can start their employment using Federal Work-Study (FWS) funding is Monday, Aug. 24, according to the Bursars Office. However, before students can work on FWS funding, they must have a Payroll Authorization Form (PAF).
PAFs will be mailed to students who accepted their FWS award via myPurdue by Aug. 12 and will reside in a Purdue Residence Hall. The forms will be delivered by campus mail the week of Aug. 17.
For all other students who accepted their FWS award via myPurdue by Aug. 12, PAFs will be available for pick-up in the Student Employment Services office in Schleman Hall, Room 302.
Students who did not accept their FWS award via myPurdue by Aug. 12 may still do so and then pick up a PAF in Schleman Hall, Room 302 prior to their first day of work.
Because changes have been made to the PAF for 2009-10, the Bursars Office urges staff to read it carefully as they complete the form.
Summer 2009 FWS eligibility ended on Friday, Aug. 7. Wages for any students continuing to work will be charged to the department they’re working for.
Students may work only during the period of eligibility indicated on their PAF:
--Academic Year period, Aug. 24, 2009 through May 8, 2010
--Fall Only period, Aug. 24, 2009 through Dec. 19, 2009
