SAP Systems Down This Weekend — Friday Night Through Monday Morning — for Annual Service Pack Upgrade - 12/4/12
The SAP system will be unavailable from 6 p.m. (EST) Friday, Dec. 7 through 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, while the annual SAP service pack upgrade is in progress.
Because of the project’s tight schedule, the IT team asks University staff to complete their work in the SAP system (Human Resources/Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and Business Warehouse including GM AIMS) and log out of it by 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Following Friday’s 6 p.m. launch, the upgrade will continue throughout the entire weekend. The team expects production systems to be restored and accessible by 8 a.m. Monday.
The team reminds staff to refrain from trying to log into SAP from 5:45 p.m. Friday evening through 8 a.m. Monday, even if the system appears to be operational.
