University Receivables and Collections Office (URCO) Reorganization - 02/28/13
Several units within the Associate Comptroller-Student and Receivables Business Services area (formerly Collections) have undergone organizational changes over the past year.
The reporting of the Business Office for Student Organizations was moved from the University Collections Office to the Bursars’ Office under the direction of John Higgins. Also, the Student Loan Office was reassigned under Rick Shoaf within the University Collections Office.
The Student Loans and Accounts Receivable areas have been reorganized effective February 1, 2013. The new structure will combine similar functions and activities of both Student Loans and Accounts Receivable to eliminate duplicative processes and provide for more consistent services to student and non-student customers.
The organizational unit previously known as the Associate Comptroller-Collections, has been changed to Student and Receivables Business Services (SRBS). Within this organization structure the areas previously known as Student Loans and Accounts Receivable have been renamed as the University Receivables and Collections Office (URCO).
The Associate Comptroller-Student and Receivables Business Services (SRBS) organization chart can be viewed at http://www.purdue.edu/business/uco/pdf/orgChart.pdf . This web site will be updated in the near future to reflect the organizational changes.
