Re: Personnel Policy Advisory Committee
For many years we have had a committee authorized by the Board of Trustees under various names to review and make recommendations concerning policies and procedures for clerical, service, administrative, professional, and hourly-paid student employees.
The purpose of this memorandum is to restate the purposes of this committee and to re-establish its membership.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Personnel Policy Advisory Committee is to provide University-wide perspective and advice concerning human resource policies and programs affecting the non-faculty or non-graduate staffs to officers of the University who have the assigned responsibility for planning and recommending such policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMITTEE
- To provide advice and guidance concerning policies relative to employment and related staff benefits for the administrative, professional, clerical, service, and hourly-paid student employee staffs.
- To assess the content of policies and benefit packages and to review changes in these programs as are necessary from time to time.

MEMBERSHIP
- The committee shall be comprised of the following permanent members:
- Three deans, vice presidents, or chancellors and three members of the faculty selected by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
- Three vice presidents and three vice chancellors selected by the Executive Vice President and Treasurer.
- The Vice President for Business Services and Assistant Treasurer shall chair the meetings of the committee.
- The Director of Personnel Services; Director of Staff Benefits, Payroll and Insurance; and the Director of Fiscal Planning shall serve as non-voting resource members of the committee.
- A staff member from the Department of Personnel Services shall serve as the non-voting executive secretary to the committee.
- The committee shall be comprised of the following permanent members:
- The committee will meet upon the call of the chairman, as necessary, but no less than once per fiscal year.
