Purdue University Executive Memoranda Master Listing
PURDUE UNIVERSITY
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
AMENDMENT TO EXECUTIVE MEMORANDUM No. B-35, dated 15 October 1985
October 23, 1986 To: Deans, Directors, and Heads of Schools, Divisions, Departments, and Offices, and Regional Campus Chancellors
Re: Privileges Granted to Retired Staff Members and Widows/Widowers of Deceased Staff Members
At its meeting on 27 June 1986, the Board of Trustees approved changes to the University's long-term disability (LTD) insurance program. One of the changes necessitates the redefining of official retiree status in Executive Memorandum No. B-35 if the reason for termination is disability. The section changed is as follows:
RETIRED STAFF MEMBERS -- OFFICIAL RETIREE STATUS
- (c) age sixty-five (65) or more if the reason for termination is disability and the person is eligible for disability income from the University group insurance program and/or PERF, and has five (5) or more years of continuous employment immediately prior to disability.
Any questions concerning this change should be directed to the Department of Staff Benefits, Payroll and Insurance (494-1694).
