The Sign Center renders, assembles and physically installs a variety of signage. Incumbent in this process is the submittal of material transfer charges to the work control center.

Typical sign requests include: banners, posters, building and vehicle identification, directories, labels, parking signs, ADA compliant room numbers with Braille, name plates, name badges, plaques, awards, stencils, models, wall graphics, instructional charts, displays, tables, visual aids and safety signs. Products include CNC engraving room signage, vinyl lettering and a 4 color graphic print technology.

After work orders are received, they are entered into the sign center work order index and loaded into the schedule. Customers include: West Lafayette Campus, Calumet Campus, North Central Campus, and County Extension Offices. On average approximately 1,900 work orders are received and closed during a fiscal year.

The sign center consists of one supervisor, one crew chief, and three sign machine operators.
