Central Shops: Carpentry

The Carpentry Shop provides various carpentry related services including custom fabrication of cabinetry, desks, and counter tops, installation of floor tile, ceiling tile, doors, drywall, windows and computer workstations.

The shop also performs construction associated work including the fabrication of concrete forms, shipping crates and general support of the in house construction teams. The shop also makes picture frames, installs plaques, and hangs artwork, pictures and aerial photos that are displayed in campus buildings.

The department is comprised of one supervisor, a crew chief, three cabinet makers and three maintenance carpenters. The cabinetmakers build all of the specialty cabinets and counter tops as well as all of the audio cabinets that are in the classrooms around.
