Purdue Center for Cancer Research:

The Purdue Center for Cancer Research has been a part of Purdue University since 1978, shortly after President Richard Nixon declared war on cancer.  The Center has had continuous (NCI) National Cancer Institute support since our inception, which holds very prestigious recognition. We are a designated basic research center, which means that we focus on investigating cancers where they begin, i.e., “at the cellular level” and investigate the cause of, and cure for, one of the most widespread and devastating diseases of our time.

Under the direction of Timothy Ratliff, Robert Wallace Miller Director, 77 researchers come together from schools and colleges all around campus in order to collaborate on projects and use their unique specialties to prevent, detect and treat cancers.  To learn more about the ground-breaking research done at the Purdue Center for Cancer Research, visit www.cancerresearch.purdue.edu.
