Business Procedures Manual Introduction

This manual is published to aid Purdue University staff in complying with various business-related University policies and procedures. Although primarily a "how-to" document, many policy statements have been included. For brevity, only subject matter governing normal or expected circumstances have been covered. For assistance with unique cases, references to the cognizant department have been included.

Updates to our procedures are inevitable. Notification of updates will be listed on the New Updates section of this Business Procedures Manual web site. Please check the New Updates page from time-to-time.

This manual has achieved success because it serves well those who use it. If you feel specific improvements are appropriate, please contact Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Business Services.

Many financial business processes and some HR processes are now defined in the Business@Purdue site which is now being used with our implementation of OnePurdue on February 6, 2007. Remaining HR processes as well as Travel and Payroll will be contained on the Business@Purdue site when Release 2 of OnePurdue is implemented.
