The Official Purdue Motor City Bowl Tour
The Official Purdue Motor City Bowl Tour, sponsored by the Purdue Alumni Association, will depart the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) via deluxe motorcoach at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26. Overnight accommodations at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit, admission to the Pre-Game Tailgate, and game transfers are included. Complete information is available at www.purduebowltours.com or by calling (888) 471-3027. The tour will depart from the MGM Grand Hotel at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, and return to PMU.
Purdue Pre-Game Tailgate
The Purdue Pre-Game Tailgate with buffet dinner will be held 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26 in the Hall of Legends South Club Level at Ford Field. Tickets are required and can be purchased at www.purduebowltours.com or by calling (888) 471-3027 until December 14. No ticket sales at the door. The cost is $45 for adults; $25 for children 2-17; under 2 free.
Motor City Bowl Official Pep Rally
Purdue fans making the trip to Detroit for the Motor City Bowl are invited to attend the Official Pep Rally prior to the game. The event will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, at the International Ballroom located on the eighth floor of the International Banquet and Conference Center. This location is adjacent to the Atheneum Suites Hotel and is within walking distance from Ford Field. Alumni, fans and VIPs from both Purdue and Central Michigan will join together in this unique event featuring coaches, cheerleaders and pep bands from Purdue and CMU, ESPN talent, live entertainment by Charlie Salaz, and music provided by XSL Productions.
Program Schedule
~ Approximately 3:00–3:15 p.m., Central Michigan cheerleaders and pep band
~ Approximately 4:00–4:15 p.m., Purdue cheerleaders and pep band
~ Time TBD – Coaches and ESPN announcer appearances
The cover charge is $5 for the general public and $2 for students of Purdue (must show ID). Cover includes complimentary snacks and a cash bar. Purdue fans in attendance will also receive a gold pompom and a Motor City Bowl spirit poster.
