Miranda McCormackMiranda McCormack was appointed to the Purdue Board of Trustees by Governor Mitch Daniels on July 1, 2011 and will serve a two-year term as the Student Trustee. She is entering her junior year at Purdue, pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She is a 5-term co-op student working for Dow Chemical and spent the 2010 summer in Louisiana and the 2011 spring in Massachusetts as part of the program. Through the co-op program, she plans to graduate in May 2014.
McCormack is a member of Purdue Student Government through the Student Supreme Court. She is also on Purdue's Community Standards Board and was a participant and counselor for Purdue Research Park's Entrepreneurship Academy. McCormack has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship and is a 2009 Lilly Endowment Recipient.
McCormack is from Fowler, Indiana, 30 miles northwest of West Lafayette. She graduated Salutatorian from Benton Central High School, where she also lettered in soccer and softball. McCormack is the daughter of Todd McCormack and Linda Pitstick and the sister of Justin.
