Gary J. LehmanA 1974 graduate of Purdue with a bachelor's degree in industrial management, Gary J. Lehman was appointed to the Board of Trustees on August 14, 2010. He is chairman of the board of Oerlikon Fairfield and president of Oerlikon AG-Americas. He also holds an MBA with honors from Case Western University, where he was the recipient of the Eaton Scholarship and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
Mr. Lehman has also held executive leadership positions with John Deere, Federal Mogul Corp, ITT Industries and Phillips Electronics. He is the founder of Cannelton Group, a firm specializing in providing management services to under-performing, privately held manufacturing companies.
In the local community, Mr. Lehman serves on the boards of several civic and business organizations, including the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Manufacturers Association, American Gear Manufacturers and Greater Lafayette Commerce. He serves the City of West Lafayette as vice president of the redevelopment commission and is a commissioner on the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. He serves on the board of directors of Lafayette Bank & Trust and Ash Access Technology, Inc. He was the 2008 campaign chairman for United Way of Greater Lafayette and is presently the president of the Sagamore Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
