JoAnn Brouillette was appointed to the Board of Trustees on July 28, 2006. She is a managing partner and president of Demeter LP, a family-owned grain and commercial warehouse business headquartered in Fowler, Indiana. Founded in 1944, Demeter was once the largest privately held grain company in Indiana.
A 1983 graduate of Hanover College, Brouillette completed undergraduate coursework at both Purdue and Creighton universities; and graduate coursework at Butler University. Before her career with Demeter, Brouillette worked as an admissions counselor at Hanover College. She then served Demeter in various merchandising and management capacities before moving to her current position.
Presently, she is the vice chairwoman of the Lafayette-West Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Council and a member of the Lafayette-West Lafayette Development Corporation board of directors. She serves on both the executive committee and board of directors for the National Grain and Feed Association and is a member of the Indiana Agriculture Advisory Committee. She also is a member of the board of directors for Midwest Ag Finance and North Central Health Services (NCHS). In 2003, President Bush appointed Brouillette to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiation.
A member of both the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and Purdue’s Athletic Advisory Committee, Brouillette was named to the Silver Anniversary Team of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.
