Boilers 4 Heroes
Ready to make an impact on those who have served our country? Purdue University is proud to empower troops with a salute to veterans to fight yet again for their own economic freedom in the most American way possible — entrepreneurship. Purdue’s Boilers 4 Heroes campaign, in partnership with the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV), is focused on the ever-growing number of veterans back home and committed to helping them with a successful transition into civilian life.
Throughout the week of Sept. 5, 2016, Purdue featured a luncheon, giveback events, student activities and the Military Appreciation Day game on Sept. 10 vs. Cincinnati — all to help raise awareness for this important campaign. For this Military Appreciation Day game, fans wore veteran-supporting merchandise to help empower those going through the EBV program and show many expressions of appreciation and recognition of our armed forces. The Purdue football team also displayed its support for our troops.
