Graduate Student Purdue University Brooke Beier received her BS degree from the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University where she is also currently pursuing her MS degree. Brooke has been awarded the Chappelle Fellowship for 2008-2009 based on her character and academic ability. She has performed research as both an undergraduate and graduate student in the Brain Computer Interface Laboratory at Purdue since 2006. Her research interest lies within implantable medical devices and she is currently working on a wireless implantable blood pressure sensor which is incorporated with FDA approved stents. Brooke’s pursuit for her biomedical engineering degrees has been motivated by the idea of having the opportunity to apply cutting edge engineering technology to clinical needs in order to advance society and improve the known “standard” for quality of life. |
