Speaker- Dr. Katey Owen
Dr. Katey Owen currently works at Merck.
Merck is a giant cooperation base in pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, and
drug manufacturing. Dr. Owen’s main
focus is in vaccines that prevent diseases.
The bar for safety is much higher when dealing with biologics, such as
large molecules, bacteria, and viruses.
Dr. Owen spoke about her own career path, which included biology degrees
from Purdue University.
