MARCH 10 - PROFESSOR MARK JANIS

Mark Janis, a professor at IU Law School and a Purdue grad, spoke about his work with patent law and intellectual property. He used several examples which would pertain to biochemists, including prescription drugs and chemicals used in fuel.  He exhibited that patent law is a growing field in which laws and rules are constantly changing and that students who like these kinds of puzzles would be particularly well-suited for this profession.

 

Club announcements

• The club bake sale raised $149.25 and these proceeds will go to a charity which will be voted on at the March 24^th meeting.

• Spring Fest is April 9^th and 10^th! Workers will be needed from 10 am - 4pm to help kids with fun science experiments.
