The Purdue BCC is pleased to welcome D. Waheedah Bilal as the new Librarian. Ms. Bilal earned a MLS from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a concentration in Academic Libraries, Archives and a MA in African American History from the same institution. Prior to her Purdue appointment, Ms. Bilal served as an assistant professor, Library Instructional Services at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Ms. Bilal is responsible for the management of the Purdue BCC library. She provides leadership in planning, developing and implementing ongoing and innovative services. She is also responsible for collection development and maintains the BCC library’s website. She has a wide range of experience and expertise, we are excited to have her on our team.
