Ms. Hines-Pham is the Purdue University Black Cultural Center's Administrative Assistant.
As the Administrative Assistant, she is responsible for assisting the Director in all aspects of program
administration, including special events. Cara has been a member of the Black Cultural Center (BCC) staff
since August 2000.
In addition to her duties at the BCC, Cara is very involved within the Purdue University community.
Cara just completed a 3-year term as a member of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC)
and served on a variety of subcommittees committed to “making Purdue a better place to work.” As a result
of her contributions to the CSSAC, Cara was invited to participate on the Spring Fling university committee
and currently serves as volunteer secretary for the committee. She is also active in the Lafayette-West
Lafayette community as a volunteer with various organizations such as the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra
(LSO) and the International Center, just to name a few. Cara has a passion for classical music and regularly attends
the LSO as a patron and in July 2002 was elected as a Board Member.
She is the current elected secretary for the LSO Board of Directors.
Ms. Hines-Pham recently completed the degree Master
of Science in Education with a concentration in Multiculturalism at
the West Lafayette campus of Purdue University in December 2004 and is proud to be
an alumna of Purdue. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor
in History and an Associate of Arts degree, both from Indiana University.
