Difficult Dialogue Series

The BCC and American Studies Department will present a new
series titled “Difficult Dialogue” which focuses on Race. The series is
structured to provide graduate students and faculty the opportunity to present
their research to the general public to help build a bridge between the academy
and communities outside the university.

"Her Crowning Glory: Hats of the African
American Community"
Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, 102 S. 10th Street,
Lafayette, IN
A spectacular exhibition of hats worn by African American women
in Lafayette churches adorns the Shook Room of the Art Museum of
Greater Lafayette. The exhibit features hats of all shapes,
sizes, colors and styles. Intriguing stories from their owners
accompany each hat.
