Difficult Dialogue Series
Black Cultural Center 2:00pm
The BCC and American Studies Department will present a new series titled “Difficult Dialogue” which focuses on Race. The series is structured to provide graduate students and faculty the opportunity to present their research to the general public to help build a bridge between the academy and communities outside the university.

Directed by Bill Caise - Music Director Twana Harris

Based on the best-selling book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. Crowns is a rousing musical tribute, with a healthy dose of "hattitude!" to the unique cultural phenomenon that fuses faith with fashion by celebrating African - American women and their church hats. A moving and celebratory event in which hats become a springboard for Black history and identity.

"Black Life at Purdue" Photography Exhibition Reception
Black Cultural Center Formal Lounge - 5:00 - 6:30pm
The Black Student Union's Black President's Forum (BPF) in conjunction with the BCC will host an amateur photography contest "Black Life at Purdue." All members of the Purdue community are invited to participate. Photographs represented will acknowledge the wonderfully diverse community of African Americans at Purdue. Winning entries will be announced at the reception and considered for publication by the BCC Newsletter.
