Audition Information
Fall 2013

Note that the audition etudes are password protected. Please contact your Purdue Band/Orchestra director, the main office or the webmaster for login information.

Important notes for those interested in Marching Band at Purdue:

  • Boiler Gold Rush: The All-American Marching Band provides a similar experience as Boiler Gold Rush during the week of band camp, including presentations from important departments on campus. Because marching band camp is held at the same time as BGR, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BOILER GOLD RUSH IF YOU INTEND TO MARCH. Students involved in marching band, and various athletic groups are exempted from attending BGR. If you sign up for BGR and THEN decide to participate in marching band, you may request a refund for Boiler Gold Rush only until July 19, 2013.
  • Learning Communities: Learning Communities have become a very important way to encourage student success at Purdue. For those interested in joining one of Purdue's Learning Communities, however, you will find many Learning Community classes and activities conflict with Marching Band. Although Learning Communities can be very appealing, Marching Band students find they develop the same kinds of relationships with other students in their respective disciplines through band.
  • Band Learning Community: Those incoming freshmen interested in Marching Band who are majoring in Engineering may be interested in the new band Learning Community. This Learning Community WILL NOT conflict with Marching Band! If you are interested in finding out more information about this wonderful opportunity, contact Ishbah Cox at icox@purdue.edu.
