For the past three years, women from Purdue Bands have had a lock on the Miss Purdue title. On Feb.12, Brittany Smith, a Golduster and talented Irish dancer, was crowned Miss Purdue 2012. The campus contest feeds into the Miss Indiana and Miss America pageants. She was crowned by Golden Girl MerrieBeth Cox who was Miss Purdue in 2011. Another Purdue featured twirler, Miss Boilerette Rachael Bazzell, was Miss Purdue 2010. We are very proud to have such intelligent, well-rounded and talented young women represent our department. Smith is a senior in Health and Human Sciences from Elmhurst, IL. The photo shows her doing an Irish dance at the Drill Field when the AAMB’s trip to Ireland was announced.
