This weekend at Homecoming, Tau Beta Sigma hosts a Silent Auction to raise money for a Big Bass Drum Endowment being started by Dr. Pamela Nave to help with the expenses and maintenance of the BBD. Proceeds of the Silent Auction will kick start fund raising for the $25,000 endowment. Purdue Bands memorabilia – including a Big Bass Drum head – will be auctioned off in hopes that those who marched these events will find these items the most memorable.

Bids will be taken from 3:30 to 5:30 pm Friday, October 21, in the Armory near the Alumni Band check-in. Besides bidding on items, direct donations can be made to the BBD endowment. Those making a minimum donation of $25 will receive a Big Ten Bands’ poster while supplies last. Cash and checks are accepted, with all checks made out to Gamma Pi Alumni Association (who is helping sponsor the event). All donations are tax deductable.
